Arlene Sharp is a contemporary painter based in London. Her work is inspired by the natural world and by landscape and organic form. Gathering visual information through walking, sketching and photography her semi-abstract paintings are built through layers of paint and collage. Juggling space, form, colour and light, she states: ‘My paintings may move away from observed reality but their origins are always grounded in the truth as I see it’.
